The Cooperative Development Authority (CDA)  is conducting information  dissemination  of its to cooperatives, local government units, partner organizations and cooperative leaders in recognition to their exemplary performance, best practices and good governance.

 

Martin Manodon of CDA-Cordillera explained that  CDA Gawad Parangal aims to recognize cooperatives for their exemplary performance and in bringing responsive services to their members and the community;  to local government units for their contribution as partner of the coops  in the implementation of programs/projects relative to socio economic enterprise, and to individual/ coop leaders for their contributions in making cooperatives a relevant socio-economic enterprise.

It also aims to search for models of cooperative best practices and good governance that will serve as start up point in establishing of benchmark standards of coop performance.

 

MACTAN ISLAND MULTI-PURPOSE COOPERATIVE is this year recepient of The gawad parangal for medium cooperative category.
